Job Summary: Lead platform engineering initiatives for the Customer Data Store, focusing on cloud infrastructure, performance optimization, and serverless architectures. Drive technical decisions for platform scalability and reliability.

Essential Responsibilities: - Design and implement cloud-native infrastructure on GCP - Lead performance optimization and scalability initiatives - Architect serverless solutions using Cloud Run and Cloud Functions - Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform - Design monitoring and observability solutions - Establish platform engineering best practices - Collaborate with data and backend teams on integration patterns - Drive technical decisions for platform architecture - Mentor engineers on cloud-native development - Support production operations and incident response

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications: - Minimum 8 years of experience in data architecture and database design - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience - Deep expertise in both relational and NoSQL database technologies - Experience with distributed database systems and CAP theorem implications - Strong SQL and data modeling skills - Experience with database migration projects - Understanding of data consistency, replication, and partitioning strategies Preferred Qualifications: - GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification - Experience with high-volume transaction systems - Knowledge of data platform technologies - Financial services experience
