Summary About the Position:Serve as a Realty Specialist in the Real Estate Division's located in Jacksonville, Florida. You will provide realty support to the management and disposal of civil and military real property. More information about the Jacksonville District is located at http://www.saj.usace.army.mil/. Responsibilities Serve on the Real Estate Division’s Management and Disposal Branch in the planning, execution, and administration of a robust real property management and disposal program. Assist in the administration of a complex program within an assigned geographic area in negotiating and preparing outgrants authorizing use of Government property to other Government agencies and non-Federal entities. Assist with conducting independent compliance inspections and inventory activities. Assist in the maintenance of the district’s real property inventory with responsibility for maintaining and administering the records of accountability for real property in accordance with DOD and Army regulations and HQUSACE directives. Assist in the disposal of real property by deed, exchange, or transfer to other entities. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Minimum Qualifications for GS-11: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing real estate procedures associated with management and disposal of civil and military real property, including drafting and issuance of outgrants (such as leases, easements, licenses, permits, consents, and rights-of-entries); processing disposal actions, exchanges, and/or transfers; conducting compliance inspections; developing studies/reports to support such activities; and ensuring accurate reporting of real property utilizing agency automated information systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience to qualify. For this GS-11 position, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
