Job Summary:

Textron is seeking a highly skilled and detail\-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Office Accounting Team\. In this role, you will lead key aspects of the financial close process, maintain general ledgers across multiple entities, and ensure the accuracy of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations\. You will play a vital role in supporting audit readiness and contributing to enterprise\-wide financial control initiatives\.

What You’ll Do:

+ Lead and coordinate the monthly financial close across multiple corporate entities\.

+ Prepare and review month\-end close packages and contribute to 10\-K disclosures\.

+ Ensure accuracy in general ledger journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations using Blackline\.

+ Support internal and external audits with thorough documentation and analysis\.

+ Deliver annual reporting and analysis for senior leadership\.

+ Monitor and manage control plan deliverables as part of our enterprise\-wide control program\.

+ Maintain and update Desktop Operating Procedures to reflect current processes\.

+ Create ad\-hoc financial reports and support special projects\.

+ Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and accuracy\.

+ Build strong cross\-functional relationships through collaboration and networking\.

Qualifications

What You Bring:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification or active progress toward completion strongly preferred\.

+ 2–4 years of experience in public or corporate accounting, ideally within a public company\.

+ Solid understanding of U\.S\. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls\.

+ Experience with accounting systems \(SAP, Oracle\) and reconciliation tools \(Blackline\) is a plus\.

+ Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite\.

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills\.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast\-paced, team\-oriented environment\.
