**Location:** 1947 East Brooks Rd., Memphis, Tennessee
**Compensation:** $70,000 – $75,000 annually (based on experience)

Compensation & ASE Incentives
+ **Base Salary:** $70,000–$75,000 annually (based on experience)
+ **Paid ASE Certifications:** Company-paid testing and renewal fees
+ **ASE Pay Increase:** +$0.25/hour for each ASE earned
+ **Full-Series Bonus:** Complete ASE School Bus or Diesel Series = $1,000 bonus
+ **Shop Manager ASE Bonus:** If the entire tech team is ASE-certified, the Maintenance Manager earns a **$2,500 team certification bonus**

Position Summary
The **Maintenance Manager** oversees all shop and fleet maintenance operations, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant. This position directly supervises technicians and support staff, drives a culture of safety and accountability, and partners closely with the Location Manager and Regional Maintenance leadership to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead daily shop operations and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on all fleet vehicles.
+ Assign, schedule, and inspect maintenance work; assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical issues.
+ Maintain communication with dispatch and operations to ensure timely vehicle availability.
+ Hire, train, and develop maintenance staff, including coaching entry-level technicians.
+ Conduct performance reviews and manage disciplinary actions (with leadership approval).
+ Manage budgets, parts inventory, and vendor relationships to control costs.
+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company safety regulations.
+ Promote continuous improvement in shop efficiency and team productivity.
+ Perform hands-on mechanical work as needed to support team workload.
+ Oversee fueling and facility maintenance operations.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required (technical training preferred).
+ Minimum 5 years of hands-on mechanical experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
+ ASE Certification in Brakes required; additional ASE certifications highly preferred.
+ CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
+ Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on team development.
+ Proficient with maintenance management software and computer-based reporting.
+ Experience with diesel engines and school bus equipment preferred.
+ Ability to lift 20–50 lbs and work in shop environments.
Work Conditions
+ Full-time position, Monday–Friday, starting at 7:00 AM.
+ Shop environment with exposure to dust, dirt, grease, and standard mechanical conditions.
