**Schedule:** Part-Time 16 hours/week, Tuesday 8:30a-5:30p, Friday 8:30a-5p, and possibly Saturday 8:30a-12Noon

The role you'll contribute:
Responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures. This position involves positioning, moving, and assisting patients during imaging. This role includes performing clerical duties and basic patient care within the scope of practice. In addition, this position adheres to departmental standards and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
The value you'll bring to the team:
+ Obtains and documents patient history and explain procedures.
+ Performs radiology duties in all departments and environments, including OR and Fluoroscopy.
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ Performs all imaging exams using established protocols and operates all equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment.
+ Uses facility policy for proper identification of patients prior to performing exams and educates patients concerning the exam.
+ Screens patients properly for any contrast allergies and for childbearing age, minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers.
+ Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary.
+ Positions patients and equipment and selects technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologists standards in a safe, timely manner.
+ Practices infection control standards and utilizes approved personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfectant agents.
+ Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean room.
+ Completes required documentation for Radiologist support and performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling.
+ Performs direct patient care duties within the technologists scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition and ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy.
Qualifications
The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed** **:
+ High School Grad or Equiv Required
+ Associate Preferred
+ Bachelor's Preferred
+ Work Experience Required
+ Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately
+ Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility
+ Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
+ Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
+ Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment
+ Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
+ Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
+ Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
+ American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required
