Summary You will serve as an Administrative Specialist in the Human Resources Office of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA. Responsibilities You will serve as the senior advisor to the Human Resources Director, the Supervisor of Strategic Employment and Advisory Services and senior management officials throughout the Center. You will participate as an advisor in local decisions affecting the workforce and recommends strategies to accomplish goals in assigned areas. You will provide policy interpretation and confers with managers to provide advice and resolutions which achieve the greatest benefit in carrying out effective and efficient programs. You will conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of job positions to determine appropriate classification and pay grades in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band NO-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ensuring regulatory compliance by providing interpretation, guidance and recommendations on human resources concepts, laws, regulations and policies relating to staffing, recruitment, position management, classification, and/or compensation; As a Senior Human Resources Specialist serves as an advisor and provides training to staff members in areas such as staffing, recruitment, classification and/or compensation. Education Additional Information This position is in the Science & Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Human Resource Management System pay band for Department of Defense laboratories. The pay schedule and pay band for all Administrative Specialist/Professional Positions will be NO-1/2/3/4/5/6. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
