Summary:
Meta is looking for an AI Policy Manager to support policy strategies that enable Meta’s mission to build the future of human connection and the technology that makes it possible. You'll work closely with public policy teams, as well as cross-functional partners across the company, to serve as a bridge of understanding and advocacy between policy and product functions. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter, a good team player, and creative problem solver that is able to switch easily between detailed policy and technical product work. This candidate will be familiar with the AI policy landscape and its key issues. This candidate will also have a meaningful understanding of stakeholders and perspectives in the broader policy community, and be able to use this understanding to promote AI innovation and development in regard to Meta’s products and services. You should be passionate about the services we provide, the people that we serve, and our mission.This is a full-time position.
Required Skills:
Privacy and Data Policy manager Responsibilities:
1. Draft policy position papers for internal and external audiences on a range of artificial intelligence policy issues
2. Gather and develop external research to support Meta’s policy positions
3. Translate regulation, in its draft or final form, into technical product requirements and vice versa
4. Use your demonstrable knowledge of the U.S. and other key jurisdictions to advise on how these regulatory environments and broader policy debates impact Meta’s business
5. Create scalable solutions and frameworks for product, research, and policy teams to use based on knowledge of AI policy environment

6. Bachelor's degree
7. 8+ years of experience with economic and data regulation, intellectual property, or other technology law or policy issues
8. Experience counseling clients around privacy, data security, or policy issues and managing multiple business priorities
9. Experience prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects
10. Knowledge of key AI policy issues and the surrounding debate: accountability and liability, data regulation and copyright, competition and economic impact, generative AI, transparency, privacy, bias, misuse and misinformation, and experience to leverage this knowledge for cross policy talking points, and leadership capacity building

$158,000/year to $228,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
