    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Leads application support efforts for the Project Controls department, driving implementation, enhancement and maintenance of software integrations for Capital Project Management System (CPMS) tools.

    + Owns CPMS applications and integrations, including project management tools (Unifier, P6, Starfish, Adaptors), corporate systems (PeopleSoft, PowerPlan) and internally developed applications.

    + Coordinates with cross-functional teams including Engineering, IT ERP and Project Controls to ensure system alignment, performance and continuous improvement.

    + Identifies, advocates for and sponsors process and system enhancements to improve operational efficiency.

    + Collaborates with the IT ERP team as the application owner representative during software upgrades, defining scope, developing testing procedures and leading user acceptance testing.

    + Develops and configures workflows in partnership with relevant departments based on business requirements.

    + Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and primary support contact for CPMS applications across the organization.

    + Creates and maintains documentation, procedures and user guides to support CPMS tools and ensure consistent usage.

    + Troubleshoots technical issues and provides timely resolution to minimize disruption.

    + Implements quality assurance and control systems to monitor and validate data accuracy.

    + Monitors daily application logs and health reports to proactively identify and address issues.

    + Develops policies, procedures and tools to enhance monitoring and control of capital project schedules and costs.

    + Facilitates efficient project implementation by supporting schedule and cash flow management within the Capital Project Management process.

     

    Participates in meetings and training sessions to continuously expand professional knowledge and skills.

    REQUIREMENTS

    + Bachelors degree in a business-related field, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.

    + Possesses a:

    + Minimum of six (6) years of related experience for **Senior-level** role.

    + Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience for **Principal-level** roles.

    + Holds or actively pursues Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).

    + Demonstrates strong understanding of project management and project controls processes, including construction scheduling, cost estimating, and cash flow forecasting.

    + Learns and applies job-specific software tools effectively.

    + Applies working knowledge of relational databases and programming languages such as SQL.

    + Uses intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of Oracle applications including Unifier, Primavera P6, and PeopleSoft.

    + Applies intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of PowerPlan.

    + Utilizes Microsoft Power BI for reporting and analytics (preferred).

    + Demonstrates advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and intermediate proficiency in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access.

    + Applies strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

    + Communicates effectively—both verbally and in writing—with internal and external stakeholders.

    + Translates complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for non-technical audiences.

    + Works independently with minimal supervision and collaborates effectively in team environments.

    + Manages multiple tasks and competing deadlines with efficiency and professionalism.
