Overview
_Razorfish has an immediate need for a freelance VP Performance Strategyto start ASAP and work on a 3+ month engagement. Freelancers will be considered for contract extension as well as conversion to fulltime based on performance and budget._
The Razorfish Strategy and Performance team is looking for a VP, Performance Strategy to be an autonomous leader with strong business intuition, a collaborative spirit, and experience driving growth for clients. This person will be responsible for leading a mid-sized account, working on data-driven strategies that increase our client’s revenue by working at the intersection of various strategic functions: communications, creative, paid display, programmatic, technology, big data, analytics, and marketing.
The ideal candidate will have first-hand experience with growth-oriented marketing. This person will be a connector; someone who can enable cross-functional teams to work together on strategic deliverables as well as executable, actionable plans. This role will require an ability to use marketplace insights, consumer insights, and performance data to make informed recommendations that will have a large impact on acquisition.
Responsibilities
+ Create acquisition strategies and models to enable or support the growth of our client’s business.
+ Represent Razorfish point of view in Power of One cross-agency environment; consistently push for stronger collaboration and partnership with our paid media and data counterparts.
+ Understand our client’s strategic priorities, challenges, and develop roadmaps for growth; regularly communicate insights and strategic recommendations to internal and external (client) stakeholders.
+ Lead a high-performing team to create and implement strategic growth initiatives across various marketing and commerce functions including performance marketing, paid media and commerce optimizations.
+ Drive improvements in acquisition performance across multiple channels with an emphasis on site/landing pages, display and programmatic.
+ Oversee testing and optimization processes across the above channels, including management of cross-channel testing strategies and mapping full funnel impact.
+ Partner with Razorfish brand strategists on further integrating data and a performance POV into creative briefs, as well as ad hoc client requests.
+ Collaborate closely with internal and external data, analytics and marketing sciences functions to minimize data gaps and ensure ongoing data integrity and quality.
+ Leverage cross-channel data and insights (from site/landing pages and paid media) for decision making, measuring marketing effectiveness as well as creating a culture of structured experimentation and iteration to drive growth.
+ Assist in the development of a growing team; further define specific ways in which they can contribute to business performance.
Qualifications
+ 12+ years of demonstrated success in helping clients growing revenue at scale via performance marketing, product marketing, partnerships and commerce optimizations
+ Competency to seamlessly interface with marketing, digital acquisition, product, commerce and senior-level clients.
+ Ability to think both tactically and strategically, through the modern customer acquisition journey.
+ Possesses vocabulary to participate in measurement conversations, across paid media and web analytics (i.e. relationship of CTR, CPC to CPA/CPL, ROI/ROAS).
+ Expert at planning and executing upon strategies necessary for the achievement of revenue and profit objectives.
+ Highly skilled in establishing, monitoring and analyzing key metrics for all marketing and commerce functions and driving continuous improvement.
+ Experience in performance marketing, campaign development and optimization – including, but not limited to: digital design/user experience, display marketing campaigns, search (SEO and SEM), social media, mobile web and applications, affiliate marketing, and digital analytics.
+ Mentors and coaches employee(s) to ensure personal/team growth and achievement of company goals or objectives.
+ Has a best-in-class, analytical, data-driven background.
+ Approaches challenges with a lean, data-driven, process, and KPI-oriented mentality. Knows how to quantitatively analyze and optimize marketing programs and growth initiatives.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation Range: $103.00 - $134.00 hourly. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
