We are seeking a highly motivated **Postdoctoral Researcher** to join the Predictive Safety Center (PSC) in developing innovative tools for safety assessment of microbial biopesticides. This role will support regulatory safety evaluations for Corteva’s early-stage microbial pipeline candidates, with a focus on both human and environmental health endpoints.
What You’ll Do:
+ Design and implement a bioinformatic framework to conduct safety assessment of microbial biopesticides using genomic screening.
+ Develop and validate screening models, including qPCR-based approaches.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with regulatory, toxicology, and data science teams to ensure scientific rigor and strategic alignment.
+ Clearly communicate toxicology testing strategy and results in both written and oral format.
+ Represent Corteva at professional meetings, training and workshops.
+ Publish and present scientific information at meetings and in peer-reviewed journals.
+ Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
+ Excellent communication and scientific writing skills.
What You Need:
+ Ph.D. in Microbiology
+ Experience with microbial genomics, host-pathogen interactions, and molecular assay development.
+ Familiarity with qPCR, transcriptomic analysis, and comparative genomics.
What Makes You Stand Out:
+ Knowledge of regulatory frameworks for biopesticides (e.g., EPA, EU, Brazil).
+ Background in human and environmental safety.
