    Project Engineer will lead the development & implementation of high-level initiatives for the improvement of manufacturing processes. The selected professional will manage the implementation of new technologies while monitoring project plans and budgets, driving execution, and delivering measurable results. Resource will work independently while reaching alignment of cross-functional stakeholders for the implementation of strategic projects as well as Mistake Proof solutions to manufacturing opportunities to eliminate defects and improve productivity.

    What You Will Do

    + Support the set up & operation of a variety of manufacturing & test equipment

    + Support Testing a variety of electromechanical units using prescribed test procedures following print requirements

    + Read and interpret assembly and test instructions, engineering prints, and schematics

    + Support Evaluation, disposition, and implementation of corrective actions following non-conforming material procedures

    + Create and maintain project plans for assigned projects/programs

    + Track daily progress of all project tasks to ensure on time delivery to commitment.

    + Schedule / lead project meetings with other team members and functional areas, as needed, to provide status and align priorities.

    + Participate on Operations Tier Meetings, as needed, to communicate priorities or support required for projects.

    + Submit eCARs and WBS requests for post award efforts as required.

    + Identify and resolve risks/roadblocks to minimize impact to project schedules.

    + Proactively communicate and escalate risks or support required during the project phases.

    + Identify and drive mistake proofing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

    + Track project constraints (scope, time, cost, and quality) and develop plans to keep them in balance.

    Qualifications You Must Have

    + Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) **or** Advanced Degree in a related field **and** minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience

    + Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written)

    + U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

    Qualifications We Prefer

    + Experience using (MS Office; Word and Outlook) Daily use of computers.

    + Knowledge of office software apps

    + Knowledge in the theory of electronic circuitry & electrical components

    + Experience in reading and interpreting assembly / test instructions, engineering standards, engineering prints, and schematics

    + Use diagnostic and hand tools

    + Effectively communicate & interact with others at all levels

    + Understand and operate electronic test equipment

    + Handle multiple tasks at the same time

    + Experience using Java, PHP, MATLAB Programming capability preferred
