Your role and responsibilities
This role focuses on leveraging advanced prescriptive analytics, optimization techniques, and interactive data visualization to drive actionable business decisions. The successful candidate will design and implement front-end applications that transform complex data into intuitive, decision-support interfaces.
Responsibilities include:
* Creating interactive, high-performance visualizations that enable stakeholders to explore data, evaluate scenarios, and understand recommendations in real time.
* Building front-end solutions that integrate seamlessly with analytical backends, using modern frameworks and responsive design principles.
* Deploying solutions on distributed and cloud-based infrastructures, ensuring scalability and performance for large data sets.
* Collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and business analysts to translate analytical insights into prescriptive actions.
Required technical and professional expertise
* Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, operations research, computer science, engineering or a related field
* 5 years of experience as data scientist
* Experience working in agile environment
* Proficiency in front-end development technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, React, Angular, or similar frameworks
* Experience with visualization libraries and platforms (e.g., D3.js, Plotly, Tableau, Power BI) to create interactive, multi-dimensional dashboards
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, with experience integrating analytics into user-facing applications
* Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
* * Must be eligible to obtain a Federal Clearance at some point after hired
Preferred technical and professional experience
* Experience working in aviation/with the FAA
* Experience supporting Federal Clients
* Experience with prescriptive analytics tools and techniques
* Experience with distributed/cloud computing environments
* General knowledge and experience with automation software projects
