    Your role and responsibilities

    Data Scientist specializing in simulation modeling to transform complex datasets into actionable, scenario-based insights. This role is focused on building advanced simulation frameworks that anticipate future outcomes, quantify uncertainty, and support strategic decision-making.

    Responsibilities:

    * Design and implement simulation systems to forecast outcomes, assess risk, and optimize decision-making under uncertainty.

    * Develop and validate stochastic and deterministic simulations for complex processes, integrating statistical, mathematical, and computational methods.

    * Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to structured, semi-structured, and streaming datasets to identify trends and future patterns.

    * Build scalable simulation pipelines on distributed, clustered, and cloud-based high-performance infrastructures.

    * Integrate simulation outputs into interactive visualization tools to communicate forecasts and scenario results to stakeholders.

    * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into predictive analytics problems and simulation-based solutions.

     

    Ensure data quality, break down silos, and create unified datasets for robust predictive modeling.

    Required technical and professional expertise

    * Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering or a related field

    * 10 years of experience as data scientist

    * In-depth knowledge in mathematics, statistics, probability, and simulation methodologies (Monte Carlo, agent-based modeling, discrete event simulation)

    * Experience working in agile environment

    * Experience with predictive analytics tools and frameworks in Python, R, or similar languages

    * Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative, team-based environment

    * * Must be eligible to obtain a Federal Clearance at some point after hired

    Preferred technical and professional experience

    * Experience working in aviation/with the FAA

    * Experience supporting Federal Clients

    * Familiarity with APIs, data transformation, and integration standards such as JSON, XML, REST, and SOAP

    * Experience with cloud-based analytics tools

    * General knowledge and experience with leading automation software projects
