Our client, a leader in the infrastructure and construction industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Project Controls Specialist to join their team. As a Staff Project Controls Specialist, you will be an integral part of the project management team, supporting the successful execution of projects within budget and schedule. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Staff Project Controls Specialist
**Location:** Lexington, KY on site (open to Louisville, KY)
**Pay Range:** $35- $40/hr
**Duration:** 12 months (potential to extend/convert)
**Travel:** 1 week per month
What's the Job?
+ Lead project controls processes with the internal project management team to ensure project deliverables are met within budget and schedule.
+ Set up projects in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software and analyze data, review logs, and generate reports.
+ Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and develop scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts for multiple projects.
+ Support project execution plans, including engineering, procurement, construction planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost control.
+ Interface with project teams and departments to review project costs, contingency costs, and support external audits.
What's Needed?
+ Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, with at least 3 years of direct project controls experience (or applicable experience substituted for the degree).
+ Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.
