Our client, a leading organization in the financial technology sector, is seeking a Sr. Java Developer / Architect - NJ or NE to join their innovative team. As a Sr. Java Developer / Architect - NJ or NE, you will be part of the Software Development Department supporting the Payments Processing and Merchant Onboarding teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

**Job Title:** Sr. Java Developer / Architect - NJ or NE

**Location:** Berkeley Heights, NJ/Omaha, NE (On-site)

**Pay Range:** $85-$90

What's the Job?

+ Design and implement scalable, high-performance solutions for payment processing systems.

+ Redesign existing functionality to improve performance and reliability, including migrating from Snowflake to MySQL.

+ Utilize environmental structures and environmental understanding to develop efficient system architectures.

+ Work hands-on with Kafka and AWS services to support real-time data streaming and processing.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of microservices and APIs.

What's Needed?

+ 10+ years of experience in Java development, including GIT, JIRA, Maven, and Confluence.

+ 6+ years of experience designing and implementing full-stack solutions with APIs and microservices in large enterprise environments.

+ Extensive experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.

+ Proficiency with Amazon Web Services (ECS, SQS, SES, SWF, SNS) and **Kafka.**

+ Strong understanding of scheduling algorithms, dynamic programming, and environmental structures.
