As a **Security Officer - Utilities Patrol Driver** in **Chico, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout utility locations, maintaining a visible presence, and engaging with individuals on-site. This is a driving post, so you will regularly operate a vehicle to monitor designated areas and respond to situations as needed. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, supporting a welcoming atmosphere while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel.

+ Follow all instructions from supervisors and adhere to protocols established for utility sites.

+ Maintain accurate and detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and interactions while on patrol.

+ Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with access control procedures and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ At least one year of security-related experience is required.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
