    As a **Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Full-Time** in **Houston, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food / Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a secure environment at a bustling food and beverage location. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service while building positive interactions with visitors and staff. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties.     What You'll Do:

    + Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

    + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while adhering to established protocols.

    + Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the food and beverage location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.

    + Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.

    + Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

    + Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and interactions according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.

    + Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as required during incidents.

    + Participate in ongoing training to maintain weapons proficiency and stay up to date with security-related procedures.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Be at least 21 years of age.

    + A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

    + Possess Level III Armed Certification if located in Texas.

    + Experience in loss prevention is preferred.

    + Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

    + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

    + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

    + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

    + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

    + Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

    + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

    + A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
