As a **Security Officer - Government Facility - Full Time** in **Brooklyn, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will patrol government locations and monitor assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for all individuals on site. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication while responding to situations as needed. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professional conduct at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols within the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or disturbances.

+ Monitor the environment and report any security-related concerns, unusual activity, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

+ Support access control measures by verifying identification and authorizations as required by site protocols.

+ Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.

+ Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site staff to address ongoing security-related needs and concerns specific to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Possess at least six months of security-related experience.

+ Provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma.

+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

+ A valid guard card or security license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
