Description
As a Senior Supply Chain Manager at Amazon Flex, you'll be at the forefront of optimizing delivery operations in some of our most challenging markets - rural and super-rural areas. This strategic position requires you to wear multiple hats, balancing the intricate demands of network optimization with the need to enhance both delivery partner and customer experiences.
Your day-to-day will involve spearheading initiatives that strengthen our network capacity and streamline operations. You'll be the bridge between various teams - from Business and Operations to Product and Tech - ensuring that all aspects of the supply chain work in harmony. This collaborative nature of the role means you'll need to be both a strategic thinker and an effective communicator.
The role demands strong analytical skills as you'll be continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing scalable solutions. You'll be responsible for driving automation and innovation initiatives that not only improve efficiency but also reduce costs across our rural markets. Your decisions and implementations will directly impact thousands of delivery partners and customers, making this role crucial to Amazon's commitment to being Earth's most customer-centric company.
In essence, you'll be a key architect in shaping the future of Amazon Flex's rural delivery network, balancing operational excellence with customer satisfaction, while ensuring our delivery partners have what they need to succeed.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategic initiatives to optimize capacity across Amazon's Flex network
• Lead end-to-end network capacity planning and optimization, with focus on rural markets
• Drive data-informed decisions through advanced analytics and performance metrics
• Design and implement scalable solutions to enhance operational efficiency
• Manage cross-functional programs spanning Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Product, Technology, and Finance teams
• Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure service quality and operational excellence
• Spearhead process automation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead strategic planning for inventory management and transportation optimization
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
