    Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

     

    The Project Kuiper team is looking for a seasoned Senior Product Manager-Technical (PMT or PMT-ES) who are high performing, motivated and believe in our mission to close the digital divide. We operate in a fast-paced startup environment and offer a plethora of challenging and rewarding projects for our team. Everyday is Day 1 at Kuiper and we are just getting started.

     

    Export Control Requirements: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

    Key job responsibilities

    This Senior PMT role will be responsible for owning the end-to-end experience for Small and Medium businesses globally across mobile and web platforms. This involves cross functional close partnership not only with the Business and GTM teams including regional leads, but also industry SMEs, UX and Design teams, Engineering leaders and stakeholders and fellow PMTs whose areas impact the customer experience. The role will be highly visible to Senior Leadership and is scoped to potentially achieve the next level for the right candidate.

    Experience working directly with customers and cross functional teams across Engineering, Business, Design, GTM, Marketing.

     

    Solid communicator – able to expertly craft the product vision and present to senior leadership to elicit their buy in and support.

     

    Core Product Skills – Lead the product roadmap, create cogent business requirements documents which can easily be translated into product and engineering deliverables.

     

    Strong business judgment, ability to dive deep into data and KPIs and collaborate with business teams on big opportunities.

     

    Strong Technically, able to collaborate closely with engineering partners on technology choices and contribute to/lead technical approach and strategy discussions.

     

    Experience with AWS Services and concepts is a big plus.

     

    Gen-AI experience and interest is a big plus.

     

    About the team

     

    You will be joining a team that is focused on driving the product requirements and enterprise service delivery mechanisms for all of the customer facing hardware, software and solutions for Project Kuiper.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor/MBA Business IT Systems and/or Computer Science degree w/ emphasis in cloud computing, wireless communications, or equivalent work experience

     

    - 5+ years of professional services technical product or program management experience

     

    - 5+ years of hands-on work managing complex professional services customer engagements and technology deployments

     

    - 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams

    Preferred Qualifications

    - BSEE / Masters in Wireless Communications and/or Computer Science

     

    - 5+ years of working directly with enterprise or government customers, leading complex professional services contracts, installations and system integration

     

    - Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, earning trust with stakeholders, and coordinating wireless service development milestones / launch criteria / schedules across internal engineering and 3P partner ecosystem

     

    - Certifications and/or relevant hands-on work experience deploying cloud-native applications and microservices for enterprise IT workloads, preferably on AWS

     

    - Detailed understanding of managed network services for enterprise and government, including the convergence of satellite and terrestrial networks

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
