Description
Leads the Product & E-commerce Analytics team in supporting Whole Foods Market's digital presence through data-driven insights and analytics. Oversees the delivery of analytics solutions across the product development lifecycle, from entitlement through implementation and ongoing business operations. Partners with Product and E-commerce teams to drive decision-making through data analysis, reporting, and insights generation.
Key job responsibilities
• Team Leadership & Development
- Manages and develops a team of analysts and business intelligence engineers (BIEs)
- Sets team priorities and ensures alignment with Product & E-commerce objectives
- Facilitates team member growth and career development
- Establishes best practices for analytics delivery and documentation
• Analytics & Insights
- Oversees development and maintenance of recurring reporting frameworks (e.g., XBRs) for Product and E-commerce performance
- Leads analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) across digital products, under the roof tech, and e-commerce platforms
- Directs the design and implementation of analytics solutions for new product initiatives
- Ensures quality and consistency of analytical outputs across team deliverables
• Product Development Support
- Partners with product teams throughout the development lifecycle to define success metrics and measurement approaches
- Guides analytics strategy during product entitlement phases
- Oversees implementation of measurement frameworks for new products and features
- Maintains analytics documentation and knowledge base for product initiatives
• Business Partnership
- Serves as primary analytics partner to E-commerce leadership
- Translates complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations
- Builds and maintains relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
- Identifies opportunities for data-driven optimization of digital products, programs, and customer experience

This role reports to the Executive Leader, E-commerce Business and works closely with Product Management, E-commerce, Operations, Marketing Analytics, and Technology teams to drive data-informed decision-making across the digital business.
A day in the life
• Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (QuickSight)
- Experience with Python, R, or similar analytical programming languages
- Understanding of web analytics, A/B testing, and product analytics tools
- General knowledge of data warehouse architectures and ETL processes
• Business & Leadership Skills
- Proven experience leading analytics teams or projects
- Strong understanding of e-commerce metrics and digital product development
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience in grocery retail or e-commerce analytics preferred
• Project Management
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent analytical workstreams
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Basic Qualifications
- Experience building optimization models using Advanced Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant analytics experience
- 0-2 years of team leadership experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
