About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled **Automation and Controls Engineer** to join our team onsite in Anderson, SC. In this role, you’ll report to the Industrial Engineering Manager and work closely with cross-functional teams and global project partners to implement advanced data-driven manufacturing solutions. You’ll help advance Industry 4.0 initiatives—turning data into actionable insights and driving automation, digitalization, and process improvement across the plant.
What You’ll Do
+ Lead assigned manufacturing engineering and new product industrialization projects.
+ Develop and communicate best practices and new standards across project teams and suppliers.
+ Partner with engineering, IT, and digital teams to support new technology and automation projects.
+ Contribute to key factory metrics, including Quality, Cost, and Delivery goals.
+ Implement digital manufacturing and automation solutions that enhance productivity.
+ Develop and maintain automation architectures aligned with “Fitness for Automation” principles.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve challenges related to OT systems and equipment connectivity.
+ Define, manage, and maintain PLC and HMI systems based on global standards.
+ Ensure documentation, training materials, and reference guides are accurate and current.
+ Oversee compliance with global OT standards for cybersecurity and connectivity.
+ Act as a subject matter expert in electrical, controls, and automation systems.
+ Support equipment startup and integration with MES systems.
+ Identify and lead process control improvements through automation.
+ Prepare technical specifications for new equipment in alignment with Manufacturing Engineering guidelines.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering, or Associate’s Degree with relevant experience.
+ 5+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer or Systems Integrator.
+ 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Expertise with robotics, conveyors, industrial systems, and process automation.
+ Proficiency in PLC/HMI and SCADA programming and integration.
+ Experience with Siemens PLC programming (S7-300, S7-400, and 1500), Simatic Manager, and TIA Portal.
+ Knowledge of control system communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, AS-I, Ethernet, DeviceNet).
+ Familiarity with Banner Safety PLCs and SICK light curtains is preferred.
**Pay Details:** $37.00 to $57.00 per hour
