Summary/Objective:
The Associate I, IHC R&D functions with minimal supervision and guidance within the Reagent Research and Development Laboratory. The Associate I conducts product development activities on new recombinant antibody products for Immunohistochemistry (IHC) procedures within well-defined guidelines. The Associate I keeps abreast of current methodologies and developments within defined areas of research.
+ Perform IHC testing in the development of new recombinant antibody products
+ Assist in the closure of customer complaints and product investigation related to recombinant antibody products developed
+ Perform all activities in accordance with established SOP’s and directions from manager in a GMP and ISO regulated laboratory
+ Document all activities according to established procedures
+ Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot assays and identify areas for improvement
+ Monitor equipment and instrumentation for compliance to corporate procedures
+ Other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications:
+ Experience in a laboratory environment, with an emphasis on high productivity and multi-tasking to progress on multiple projects simultaneously
+ Hands-on experience in Histology, IHC and automated instrumentation
+ Ability to work independently and manage tasks, while supporting fellow team members
+ Ability to work independently and manage tasks, while supporting fellow team members
+ Proofreading skills with good attention to details
+ Thorough understanding of product development in an ISO environment
+ Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology or a related field; or Associate Degree or High School Diploma, with training in Histology & IHC. Zero to five (0-5) years’ Laboratory experience in the related field, or equivalent combination of
education and experience
