Position Summary
We’re seeking a skilled **Industrial Hydraulic Mechanic** to join our team of experienced professionals specializing in hydraulic system repair and maintenance. In this role, you’ll rebuild, troubleshoot, and service a variety of hydraulic components—including mobile and mill-type cylinders, pumps, motors, and related parts—for both OEM and industrial applications. This position is ideal for a hands-on technician who takes pride in precision work, safety, and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
+ Install, inspect, rebuild, and maintain hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, hoses, valves, and fittings
+ Diagnose hydraulic system issues and execute effective repair solutions
+ Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure reliable performance
+ Fabricate, assemble, and test hydraulic components and piping systems
+ Read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints, schematics, and manuals
+ Maintain accurate service and repair records
+ Ensure all work complies with safety and performance standards, including proper lockout/tagout procedures
+ Collaborate with team members and management to resolve issues and improve processes
+ Perform additional related duties as assigned
Tools & Equipment Used
Manual and powered shop tools, precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks)
**Work Attire:** Shop uniform provided
Physical Requirements
+ Regular lifting of up to 75 lbs
+ Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
+ Exposure to noise, dust, fluids, chemicals, and moving machinery
Qualifications
Education & Training
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ Technical Certification in hydraulics or mechanics preferred
+ Degree in Engineering Technology a plus
+ Valid Driver’s License required
Experience
+ Minimum 2 years of hydraulic cylinder repair and mechanical assembly experience
+ Hands-on experience in a machining, manufacturing, or machine shop environment
+ Familiarity with heavy industrial components
+ Demonstrated ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
+ Skilled in using hand and power tools, along with precision measuring instruments
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
+ Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
+ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
+ Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
**Pay Details:** $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
