Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery. The candidate will have a strong academic background, and expertise in heart and lung procurement, organ assessment and resuscitation, ex-vivo organ perfusion, ECMO cannulation and management, as well as all aspects of Cardiovascular Surgery.
Requirements:
Cardiac surgical experience preferred but not required, preferably as an advanced trainee or staff surgeon with strong surgical skills. Other requirements include:
+ Expertise in lung and heart procurement and transplantation
+ Expertise in ex-vivo heart and lung perfusion and normothermic regional perfusion
+ Expertise in ECMO cannulation and management
+ Eligible for Minnesota State Licensure
+ Interest and ability in education, simulation, and research would be valued
+ Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across specialties, disciplines, and with all levels of staff.

+ Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota

Compensation Detail
The minimum starting salary for surgical specialties may range from $290,000 to $830,500. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
