Research Associate – Biologics & Protein Production | Onsite – Emeryville, CA
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a **Research Associate** to join a dynamic and innovative biologics research team in **Emeryville, CA** . This position plays a key role in the production and purification of antibodies and therapeutic proteins supporting next-generation bioconjugation and drug development technologies.
This is a hands-on, onsite laboratory role offering exposure to cutting-edge bioconjugation methods and cross-functional collaboration within a talented scientific team.
**Schedule** : Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

**Location** : Emeryville, CA 94608
**Pay Rate:** $45 - $48 (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
• Support protein production through small- and large-scale transient transfection.
• Perform cloning (e.g., Gibson assembly), DNA prep (Mini, Maxi, Giga), and sequence confirmation.
• Conduct mammalian cell culture work using aseptic techniques.
• Operate and maintain instruments such as Vi-CELL, Octet, and HPLC.
• Perform protein characterization (concentration, endotoxin, SDS-PAGE, SEC-HPLC).
• Assist with antibody and protein purification, including the use of AKTA systems.
• Maintain detailed and accurate lab records while adhering to quality and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
• 1+ year of relevant research lab experience (academic or industry).
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with protein purification and analytical methods (HPLC, SDS-PAGE, SEC).
• Proficiency using lab software and analytical equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organization, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
• Knowledge of AKTA chromatography systems and bioconjugation workflows.
• Experience with antibody production or therapeutic protein development.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced research environment.

**Pay Details:** $45.00 to $48.00 per hour
