Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description

Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and conveyor solutions. This role demands a strong understanding of engineering principles, creativity in problem-solving, and proficiency in CAD software.

Responsibilities

+ Create detailed designs and specifications for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

+ Develop and test prototypes to ensure designs meet performance standards and customer requirements.

+ Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure the successful completion of design projects.

+ Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, and manufacturing teams to meet design specifications and deliver projects on time.

+ Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and operational manuals.

+ Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.

+ Proficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of conveyor systems and industrial equipment is a plus.

+ PE certification is preferred.

+ Experience with FEA and 3D printing technologies.

+ Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peoria, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $44.00/hr.
