Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to create innovative Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design solutions. The role involves generating detailed drawings and documentation to support PCB fabrication and assembly, ensuring compliance with design requirements. You will document design specifications, contribute to design reviews, and uphold industry standards and best practices. The position requires realization of complex system requirements to deliver robust and reliable solutions, along with the complete implementation of detailed technical tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Create PCB design solutions that meet all electrical and physical specifications.

+ Develop and generate documentation to facilitate PCB fabrication and assembly.

+ Document design specifications and implementation details.

+ Participate in design reviews and uphold standards and best practices.

+ Implement complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable solutions.

+ Maintain configuration control of engineering records.

+ Develop and construct prototypes and production-level designs.

+ Work independently with a significant level of autonomy to develop technical solutions.

+ Collaborate with team members, including system, hardware, and software engineers, to meet agreed system designs and protocols.

+ Report status, risks, and estimates-to-complete on all tasks to project management.

Essential Skills

+ Expertise in circuit design and PCB design.

+ Proficiency with Altium for design and analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to work independently and autonomously.

+ Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.

Work Environment

The position offers a collaborative work environment where you will work closely with other engineers to develop technical solutions. You will have the autonomy to work independently, utilizing advanced design tools such as Altium. The role requires effective communication of project status, risks, and estimates to project management.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Luis Obispo, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
