    We are seeking a skilled Lead HVAC Technician to identify deficiencies and functional issues with site HVAC systems, and to complete corrective actions as required. This role involves coordinating maintenance and installation of HVAC systems, following safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory practices.

    Responsibilities

    + Identify deficiencies and functional issues with site HVAC systems performance.

    + Complete corrective actions to correct deficiencies.

    + Follow safety procedures and recommended practices while adhering to job safety analysis.

    + Coordinate maintenance and installation of HVAC systems including support utilities as directed by the Principal Engineer.

    + Read and understand detailed plans and submittals related to HVAC installations and support systems.

    + Ensure utility activities comply with standard operating procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and other related regulatory practices.

    + Perform daily system trend checks and implement actions to address findings.

    + Oversee daily activities of shift personnel, ensuring completion of required tasks.

    + Plan and schedule contractor-related tasks.

    + Instruct technicians on the operation and functionality of site HVAC systems.

    + Support planning and execution of HVAC maintenance and projects during site shutdowns.

    Essential Skills

    + Associates degree or technical certifications.

    + Minimum eight years of progressive experience in HVAC maintenance.

    + At least two years of experience in a GMP environment.

    + EPA 608 Universal License.

    + Strong background in industrial HVAC systems, with experience in chillers, boilers, and air handlers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in regulated industries or hospitals.

    + Knowledge of general trades such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and machine shop.

    + Capability to understand and execute simple to complex maintenance tasks for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.

    Work Environment

    This position is in a manufacturing environment requiring experience in industrial settings, preferably with GMP experience. The role involves working a rotating schedule: Sat., Sun., Mon. ON/ Tue., Wed. OFF/ Thur., Fri. ON/ Sat., Sun., Mon., OFF, Tue., Wed., ON, Thur., Fri. OFF. The site is undergoing significant changes, focusing on specialty high-value drug products. A collaborative and relationship-building personality is essential, as you will work with a consistent team of four people.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rocky Mount, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $48.00/hr.
