    Description

    We're looking for an outstanding mechanical engineer with aerospace experience with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person must will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical design and related analysis specifically for payloads satellite systems in Siemens NX. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production level designs.

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

     

    3+ years of experience with CAD, need NX experience

     

    3+ years of experience with design and development of hardware at scale (machined parts; spring, gears, bearings, etc or precision mechanisms desired)

     

    3+ years of experience with development, test, deployment of aerospace systems.

     

    Experience with specifying/justifying margins and test sequences, and qualifying space systems.

    Experience with NASTRAN for structural analysis

    Experience in DFM and manufacturing process development. Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    6+ years of experience in the design, qualification, volume production of PCBA enclosures for spacecraft.

     

    Experience with NX, TeamCenter

     

    Ability to lead interdisciplinary discussions between Hardware, Reliability, and Firmware teams to define and drive scope and clarity of work, and reach optimum system level trade-offs

     

    Experienced with Issue tracking applications (JIRA, TRAC)

     

    Strong time and task management skills with consistent attention to detail

     

    Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.

    Must haves:

    Must have precision mechanisms or machined parts experience with Siemens NX. Also looking for someone with structural analysis experience with NASTRAN

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
