    A growing construction equipment provider serving contractors across the Northeast is seeking a skilled Service Manager to lead its Service and Customer Repair Division. The company specializes in compact and light construction equipment, offering rentals, sales, parts, and service to clients in industries such as roadwork, utilities, concrete, and excavation.

     

    With a focus on personalized support and long-term client relationships, the team is known for delivering high-quality equipment backed by exceptional service and technical expertise.

    Position Summary

    The Service Manager will oversee all aspects of service operations, including client communication, technician scheduling, equipment repairs, and interdepartmental coordination. This leadership role is critical to ensuring efficient service delivery and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Manage the Service and Customer Repair Division, ensuring smooth daily operations

    + Communicate directly with clients to understand needs, provide updates, and resolve issues

    + Create and manage schedules for service technicians to ensure timely and efficient service

    + Address customer complaints professionally and promptly

    + Coordinate between rental and equipment departments to maintain workflow and communication

    + Oversee equipment repairs, including part installations and routine maintenance

    + Collaborate with the Parts Manager on inventory management and purchasing

    + Supervise a team of 8–10 employees, providing leadership, training, and performance feedback

    Qualifications

    + Proven experience in service management, preferably in construction equipment or a related field

    + Strong leadership and team management skills

    + Excellent communication and customer service abilities

    + Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, inventory, and multiple priorities

    + Ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment

    + Familiarity with construction equipment and tools is a plus

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
