    Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

    Job Description

    Join a large specialty pharmacy known for simplifying access to medication and delivering personalized care to patients with rare diseases. As a Patient Service Representation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient pharmacy operations and patient satisfaction.

    Responsibilities

    + Recognize and effectively communicate about various insurance types and their applications.

    + Enter all communication and documentation in the Biologics Management Information System (MIS).

    + Assist with projects such as yearly reverification.

    + Communicate with patients to gather appropriate insurance information.

    + Triage prescriptions to preferred pharmacies or HUB providers when Biologics cannot serve the patient.

    + Process pharmacy claims appropriately in Biologics MIS.

    + Recognize and understand pharmacy claim responses.

    + Manage inbound calls from patients, clients, physicians, and payors regarding patient updates and services provided.

    + Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to clinicians.

    + Manage and reply to internal written communications and requests received via chat or email.

    + Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ years of related experience required.

    + Strong background in pharmacy and customer service.

    + Experience with prior authorizations is essential.

    + Ability to recognize and effectively communicate about insurance types.

    + Proficiency in data entry and retail pharmacy operations.

    + Excellent call center management skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Minimum of an associate degree or equivalent experience with 3+ years of related experience.

    + Registered Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.

    Work Environment

    This is an onsite position located in Cary, NC. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with shifts ranging from 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm, or 11am-8pm EST. Enjoy working in an office environment without direct patient contact. The facility is closed on weekends and major holidays, offering a great work-life balance. There is potential for this role to lead to permanent employment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
