    Job Description

    Join a leading chemical manufacturer. We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to contribute to our thriving business unit. You will be integral in managing customer demands, focusing on scheduling, costs, and project milestones. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our team of controls engineers, providing support across various product lines and contributing to process improvements at our facility.

    Responsibilities

    + Design and maintain electrical systems for chemical plant processes, ensuring reliability and continuous operation.

    + Troubleshoot issues and plan preventative maintenance programs to avoid future problems.

    + Provide consultative input on electrical design and troubleshooting at substations.

    + Collaborate with controls engineers on-site to tackle projects and serve end customers.

    + Manage customer questions and demands regarding scheduling, costs, and project milestones.

    + Recommend solutions to electrical issues and oversee repairs.

    + Ensure electrical systems and controls meet industry standards and codes.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, power distribution, and process engineering.

    + Proficiency in electrical design and project management.

    + Experience with power distribution and control panel design, calculating and estimating loads for single and three-phase systems.

    + Knowledge of UL508 and NEC guidelines.

    + Experience with hazardous area electrical design and considerations for Class 1 and Class 2, Div 1 and Div 2.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Proficiency with Microstation or similar design software like AutoCad.

    + Familiarity with control system architectures and industrial networking (ModBus RTU, and ModBus TCP).

    + Experience with PLC systems, HMI, and Distributed Control Systems, ideally DeltaV.

    + Understanding of instrumentation design and operation principles.

    + Experience with motor control centers design and variable frequency drives (VFDs).

    + Exposure to process control design and packaging line designs.

    Work Environment

    Work will primarily be based in the corporate office, with time spent in the plant and at various substations on campus. The role involves collaborating with design teams, plant managers, and other engineering staff

    This is a Contract position based out of Sauget, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
