    Job Title: Construction Project ManagerJob Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale datacenter construction projects. This role involves developing and implementing detailed project plans, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and oversee the implementation of detailed project plans including timelines and resource requirements for large-scale datacenter construction projects.

    + Manage cross-functional teams including engineers, procurement, and construction to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time.

    + Monitor project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.

    + Work with clients to understand their needs and ensure project outcomes meet their expectations.

    + Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

    + Continuously improve project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

    + Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that each project meets its objectives and is delivered on time.

    + Provide regular project updates to senior management and other stakeholders.

    + Facilitate Interactive Planning Sessions (IPSs) for the project with discipline leads, vendors, and clients to identify the project critical path and continue to analyze and report throughout the project.

    + Comply with relevant policies and procedures and work within legal and regulatory frameworks.

    + Conduct site walks to determine current progress and create project forecasts using Primavera.

    + Communicate progress and forecasts to the site team while providing key insights through a data-driven approach.

    Essential Skills

    + 8-10 years of experience in project management, construction, and project coordination.

    + Proficient in Primavera P6 and Excel.

    + Experience with data center operations and data analysis.

    + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a relevant engineering field is preferred.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively.

    + Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

    + Knowledge of computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio.

    + Proven track record of delivering large-scale datacenter construction projects on time and to the satisfaction of clients.

    + Excellent understanding of Project Planning, Earned Value Management, and Key Commodity Tracking.

    + Ability to analyze EPC plans/schedule and provide deep insights into trends, issues, and mitigations.

    + Familiarity with Critical Path Methodology (CPM) scheduling methodology.

    + Ability to present data from detailed to high-level depending on the audience.

    + Experience with Data Center construction programs.

    Work Environment

    This position is based in Des Moines, with a typical work schedule of Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Necessary equipment includes a laptop and steel-toed or composite-toed boots, with other personal protective equipment provided. The role requires performing site walks and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

    This is a Contract position based out of Des Moines, IA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $64.00 - $74.00/hr.
