We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, architectures, and tools that support AI and machine learning initiatives for our company's products and support systems. This role encompasses all phases of project development, including planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
+ Implement small features and resolve common data-related bugs.
+ Develop individual, well-defined components of larger, more complex data solutions.
+ Investigate data quality issues reported by customers, peers, and other departments.
+ Create or maintain non-critical data support tools to improve reliability and efficiency.
+ Modify, debug, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
+ Thoroughly test new and existing data features and pipelines.
+ Provide documentation for data processes and tools.
+ Create automated tests for new and existing data components.
+ Integrate data solutions with those developed by other engineers.
+ Work closely with technical leads and other engineers to develop technical designs for data solutions.
+ Access and update existing code bases and data repositories using version control systems.
+ Manage work assignments via an issue tracking system.
+ Participate in code and data pipeline reviews.
+ Implement features and resolve data bugs independently.
+ Research and contribute technical solutions for data engineering challenges.
+ Work closely with product and engineering teams to provide input on overall data architecture and product design.
+ Create or maintain support tools critical to data reliability and efficiency.
+ Provide technical assistance to software, hardware, QA, and manufacturing teams regarding data integration.
+ Demonstrate completed data engineering work to stakeholders.
+ Break down complex tasks into simpler components.
+ Architect data solutions for changing requirements.
+ Package and distribute data tools for use in QA and production environments.
+ Contribute to code and data pipeline reviews; communicate issues identified in merge requests.
+ Expand knowledge of recent developments in data engineering and AI.
+ Supply technical feedback to evaluate the feasibility of product definitions.
+ Initiate and maintain communications with stakeholders to establish and clarify data requirements.
+ Coordinate with software, hardware, and firmware engineers to ensure data compatibility.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Python and SQL.
+ 2+ years of professional experience in data engineering and data pipeline development.
+ B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent degree/work experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with PyTorch, Pandas, and Spark.
+ Familiarity with Apache Airflow, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.
+ Experience annotating AI data.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Wooster, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
