Job Title: Quality SpecialistJob Description
The Quality Specialist will serve as the primary contact for incoming inspections, quality documentation, and nonconformance processing. This role is essential in measuring and validating the correct quality of parts to ensure the company continues to deliver reliable, high-value products and services to its customers.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct measurements and validations based on company or vendor drawings using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
+ Generate Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and follow up with involved parties.
+ Review supplier documentation to ensure parts are correct.
+ Process all parts and materials through the ERP system promptly and according to documented procedures.
+ Maintain an organized workstation and exemplify the implementation of 5S principles.
+ Review all rejects and supporting documents with the Quality Manager.
+ Follow up with internal stakeholders, including supply chain, engineering, and production, to manage items on the Discrepant Material Report.
+ Serve as an internal quality auditor.
+ Support process mapping and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development in support of ISO9001 and general business activities to ensure process control.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Inspection or Quality Engineering.
+ Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
+ Experience with quality assurance, quality control, and inspection processes.
+ Familiarity with quality management systems and incoming inspections.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Degree or Technical Diploma preferred.
+ 6 Sigma or Lean Certification preferred.
+ ASQ Certifications preferred.
Work Environment
The position is based in Stamford, CT, in a manufacturing setting. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours from 7:30am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5:30pm, offering some flexibility as needed. The environment is dynamic, providing a great opportunity to contribute to a growing manufacturer.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stamford, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.
