We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing drawing updates based on redlines, managing release workflows, and performing CAD modeling of mechanical assemblies, including engine parts and tube routing for launch vehicles. The role involves creating and releasing detailed manufacturing drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability, and rapidly iterating on designs while incorporating feedback and resolving issues through hands-on problem solving.
Responsibilities
+ Execute drawing updates based on redlines and manage release workflows.
+ Perform CAD modeling of mechanical assemblies, including engine parts and tube routing for launch vehicles.
+ Create and release detailed manufacturing drawings.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
+ Rapidly iterate on designs, incorporating feedback and resolving issues through hands-on problem solving.
Essential Skills
+ 5-10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
+ Proficiency with AutoCAD or SolidWorks (NX preferred).
+ Experience in aerospace, maritime, automotive, avionics, or oil and gas industries.
+ Experience designing complex products with space and mass constraints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Candidates who have hobbies outside of work such as fixing things, building things, and figuring out how things work are preferred.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Park, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
