    MongoDB is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial sales leader to define and scale our startup and GenAI native ecosystem strategy. In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to driving MongoDB adoption and growth across high-potential startups. Partnering closely with our Voyage AI, venture investing, startup marketing, and GTM teams, you’ll position MongoDB as the database of choice for the next generation of innovators—ultimately driving new customer acquisition and revenue growth.

     

    We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in San Francisco for our hybrid working model.

    What You’ll Do

    + Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of Account Executives to consistently exceed goals

    + Provide technical mentorship, ensuring your team can confidently articulate MongoDB and Voyage AI’s value to technical founders and buyers

    + Drive prospecting, pipeline generation, and complex deal execution, while reinforcing our MEDDIC sales methodology

    + Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent, accelerating ramp and long-term success

    + Build and execute a repeatable playbook for engaging startups from pre-seed to hypergrowth

    + Engage directly with founders and ecosystem leaders to strengthen relationships and drive adoption

    + Partner with accelerators, incubators, and venture firms to expand MongoDB’s presence across the startup ecosystem

    + Own key metrics, reporting, and programs to measure engagement, adoption, and ecosystem impact

    What We’re Looking For

    + 10+ years of direct sales experience, including leadership of teams selling technical products

    + Proven success driving adoption of complex products (cloud, AI, or developer platforms strongly preferred)

    + Established relationships across the startup and venture ecosystem

    + Deep understanding of startup needs and technical challenges

    + Executive presence with exceptional communication skills

    + Track record of exceeding revenue goals and navigating complex sales cycles

    + Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance short-term execution and long-term ecosystem development

    + Familiarity with software development concepts and technical buyer personas

    + Experience selling to founders, CTOs, or developer-driven organizations

    MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

     

    MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:

     

    $150,000—$198,000 USD
