Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Job Description
The Quality Assurance Technician will work in a non-climate controlled warehouse/distribution facility, focusing on the visual inspection of medical device products during the kitting process. This role requires verification and documentation of findings using warehouse inventory management systems or Quality Management Systems.
Responsibilities
+ Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), and other documentation as per the Quality Management System (QMS).
+ Detect and identify nonconformances, completing documentation associated with incoming receipt and routine product inspections.
+ Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to maintain routine inspections, including incoming inspection, first article inspection, final inspections, and special inspections as needed.
+ Maintain Quality System Records for conformance and compliance.
+ Coordinate supplier corrective action activities with purchasing and quality teams for supplier quality issues identified during inspections.
+ Interact with management and warehouse on special projects to support the Quality Team.
+ Track inspection report metrics related to the Quality Management System.
+ Maintain Quality System Living Documents/Records, ensuring proper filing, access, retrieval, and retention.
+ Contribute to updating Quality System Documents by redlining Work Instructions, SOPs, and Forms.
+ Coordinate the damage area process, including damages occurring during warehouse handling.
+ Assist in developing Special Work Orders and monitor the Rework Process.
+ Lead investigations pertaining to Quality Nonconforming findings/trends.
+ Support the EQMS and help with Document Control activities.
+ Support department key performance indicators by tracking and documenting.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of Quality experience with visual inspection.
+ Proficient with computers and Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Google Drive.
+ 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
+ Familiarity with Quality assurance, Inspection, QMS, and ERP systems.
+ Experience with SOPs, pallet jack operation, and ISO standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate’s degree or higher in logistics, science, quality control-related field, or another technical field preferred.
+ 3-5 years of previous warehouse/distribution center experience.
+ Experience with warehouse inventory management systems and eQMS preferred.
+ 2+ years of experience in the Medical Device or Cosmetics Industry preferred.
+ Extensive knowledge of warehouse/logistical regulations and policies.
+ Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
+ Knowledge of barcoding and computerized inventory systems.
+ Ability to work autonomously, providing updates to senior management and identifying potential issues.
+ Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail.
+ Heavy lifting may be required.

Work Environment
Work in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment with shifts from Monday to Thursday, 6am-4:30pm. Be prepared for potential additional shifts during peak times.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
