Job Description
Join our Electrical Assembly Apprentice Training Academy and assist in the mechanical and electrical builds of customer products. As an apprentice, you will learn to read and understand point-to-point wiring schematics and diagrams (480v, 120v, 24v). You will receive in-depth training in crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing UL panels and sub-assemblies.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble, wire, and test industrial control panels and switchgear systems with a focus on 3-phase power distribution.
+ Pull, crimp, install, and test wiring using point-to-point schematics.
+ Utilize tools such as multimeters, wire strippers, crimpers, and torque wrenches.
+ Perform part replacement on tools as needed and according to schedule.
+ Resolve routine questions and problems, referring complex issues to higher levels.
+ Work under direct supervision with frequent monitoring.
+ Maintain documentation and update panel layouts as needed.
+ Follow manufacturing protocols and lean production principles.
+ Adhere to detailed written or verbal instructions, including visual aids, diagrams, and schematics.
+ Ensure cleanliness and organization of assigned area per 5S standards.
+ Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.
+ Coordinate with teammates to organize tasks requiring multiple team members.
+ Keep inventory personnel informed about spare parts inventory and locations.
Essential Skills
+ Basic electrical wiring or assembly skills preferred.
+ Strong initiative to learn a trade through in-depth training.
+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
+ Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.
+ Drive to learn and interpret blueprints, graphs, and schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in electrical assembly and wiring.
+ Familiarity with mechanical assembly and hand and power tools.
+ Knowledge of electrical testing, control panels, soldering, and panel wiring.

Work Environment
The training academy is a 2-week program held on-site in a classroom setting, focusing on safety, electrical wiring, and standard protocols. The production environment is extremely clean and temperature-controlled, with cell stations and large working areas. Teams consist of 5-7 technicians per work cell. Shifts include 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday to Friday during training, transitioning to a 3:30 pm - 12:00 am shift post-training, with occasional Saturday work. Overtime is available but limited to a maximum of 58 hours per week. All tools and materials are provided, and no outside tools are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
