    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    As a Material Handler and Forklift Operator, you will play an essential role in material handling and inventory management within the W Building. Your day will vary between operating forklifts and performing physical inventory tasks, including kitting and verification processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate material handling equipment, primarily standup/man-up forklifts.

    + Review pick lists and verify warehouse inventory.

    + Ensure proper labeling and tagging of inventory.

    + Perform hand counting of inventory on the warehouse floor.

    + Verify quantities and accuracy of physical inventory labels.

    + Use a computer for basic data entry related to inventory management.

    + Work with printed pick lists for inventory verification.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 2 years of previous forklift experience within the last 5 years.

    + Proficiency in operating standup/man-up forklifts and electric carts.

    + Basic computer navigation and data entry skills.

    + Physical capability to bend, twist, and lift when counting and locating products.

    + Comfortable working at heights and in harnesses when necessary.

    + Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience operating a standup/man-up forklift in the past 5 years

    + High team cooperation and strong attendance in previous roles.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a warehouse setting with shifts available on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. Initial training will occur during the day for up to 3 weeks. Expect overtime with some mandatory overtime on Saturdays

    This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.65/hr.
