Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of all machinery in the plant. This includes working on machinery such as rollers, conveyors, corrugators, slicers, benders, gear boxes, motors, and panels. The role involves responding to repair calls to troubleshoot breakdowns and adhering to a preventative maintenance schedule. Electrical tasks include motor swaps, working with AC and DC systems, sensors, contactors, relays, and wiring.

Responsibilities

+ Perform preventative maintenance on plant machinery.

+ Conduct corrective maintenance and repairs on equipment such as rollers, conveyors, and gear boxes.

+ Troubleshoot machinery breakdowns and ensure timely repairs.

+ Conduct electrical maintenance including motor swaps and working with sensors and wiring.

+ Adhere to safety protocols and maintenance schedules.

Essential Skills

+ At least 2 years of experience in troubleshooting within an industrial maintenance setting.

+ Experience with preventative maintenance procedures.

+ Knowledge and skills in mechanical maintenance and repair.

+ PLC experience.

+ Proficiency in electrical maintenance is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in an industrial maintenance environment.

+ Electrical background is advantageous for higher pay rates.

+ Ability to pass mechanical and electrical tests for potential higher pay.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a standard production setting without air conditioning, which can be hot in the summer but is heated in the winter. The facility features a large open floor plan with well-lit and clean machinery. The role includes working union shifts, typically on the 2nd or 3rd shift (3-11 PM or 11-7 AM). The technician will be on their feet and moving around throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.78 - $34.30/hr.
