Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team for the 2nd shift. The role involves performing full set-ups in a dynamic job shop environment, troubleshooting machines, reading complex prints, and setting up machines to maintain tolerances of +/- 0.0002. The position requires working with a variety of stainless and exotic materials including aluminum, Inconel, titanium, and brass. Experience with live tooling is preferred.
Responsibilities
+ Perform full set-ups on CNC lathes in a job shop environment.
+ Troubleshoot machines and read complex prints to ensure precision.
+ Set up machines to hold tolerances of +/- 0.0002.
+ Work with a range of materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, Inconel, and titanium.
+ Operate and perform setups on lathes including dual spindle twin turrets (Puma, Doosan).
+ Manage one or more setups per shift depending on job complexity.
+ Edit programs directly at the machine.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of CNC lathe set-up experience.
+ 2+ years of machining experience in a medical or aerospace environment holding precise tolerances.
+ Ability to read and understand CNC programs and operational layouts.
+ Understanding of tooling requirements for exotic metals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Live-tooling or multi-axis experience preferred.
+ Knowledge of tooling applications for exotic metals is a plus.
+ Experience with parts as small as a fingernail.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
- Climate Controlled and super clean
- Guaranteed 3% company contribution to 401k (not a match. For example, if you put in 6% they put 3% and if you put 0% they put 3%)
- 2 weeks PTO right away plus the Minnesota sick pay on top of that
- Average tenure is 10+ years

- Sometimes will have a bonus at the end of the year depending on company performance/profits

This is a fully onsite position in Minneapolis,MN.
