Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Electrical Maintenance Technicians to join our team and support specific areas within our plant, which may include the cold mill, hot mill, cast house, element 13, or roll shop. This role involves working in a heavy industrial environment, and we require candidates with previous mechanical maintenance experience in similar settings. We also welcome industrial electricians with contracting agency backgrounds.

Responsibilities

+ Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.

+ Install new equipment and ensure proper functioning.

+ Work with rolling mills, conveyors, CNC machines, casting equipment, and furnaces.

+ Troubleshoot PLCs and handle AC/DC drives, 3-phase motors, and high voltage equipment.

+ Commission equipment and perform electrical installations and repairs.

+ Maintain precision and attention to detail due to tight equipment tolerances.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in PLC troubleshooting and electrical maintenance.

+ Proficiency with AC/DC drives, high voltage equipment, switchgears, and generators.

+ At least 5 years of electrical maintenance experience.

+ Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience as an Industrial Electrician.

+ Familiarity with Siemens PLC and industrial maintenance mechanics.

Work Environment

Work in a heavy industrial setting where no part of the plant is climate controlled. Be prepared for hot summers and cold winters, especially around furnaces. The campus is expansive, with specific departments such as the cast house, cold mill, hot mill, roll shop, or element 13. Each department has its own manager and training program. Note that the work environment is tobacco-free, and no jewelry is permitted on-site. Employees work 12-hour shifts, either days or nights, and typically spend at least one year on the night shift before potentially switching shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr.
