Job Title: Plumber Mechanic
Job Description
Join our team to direct the installation of plumbing and related systems, equipment, and fixtures. As a Plumber Mechanic, you will be responsible for planning, laying out, participating in, and supervising plumbing work both on job sites and in the shop. You will work with considerable independence, except on large construction and modification projects where some technical supervision is provided. Your assignments for maintenance and repair will be received through Teams Construction software, written job requests, and emergency calls. Your work will be reviewed by users of equipment and systems through observation and conferences while projects are in progress and upon completion. Construction and remodeling work will be reviewed for compliance with specifications and building codes.
Responsibilities
+ Direct the installation of plumbing systems and related fixtures.
+ Plan, lay out, and supervise plumbing work on job sites and in the shop.
+ Participate in plumbing projects with independence, except on large projects where supervision is provided.
+ Receive maintenance and repair assignments via Teams Construction software, written requests, and emergency calls.
+ Ensure work complies with specifications and building codes.
+ Work under general direction and supervision from leads on site.
Essential Skills
+ Thorough knowledge of plumbing trade practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
+ Ability to analyze defects in plumbing equipment and determine necessary repairs.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and laying out work from prints, rough plans, sketches, drawings, and broken parts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with cast iron is a significant advantage.
+ Ability to lay out and mark work for helpers to run the storm or sanitary systems.
+ Experience with water and temporary water lines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hampton, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
