Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to support and enhance all aspects of quality processes. This role involves developing inspection reports, maintaining calibrated measuring equipment, and identifying areas for quality control improvement. Additionally, you will produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, product managers, and usability experts to ensure our products are user-friendly. A well-organized person with a keen eye for detail, who enjoys working with technology and people, and possesses strong oral and written communication skills will thrive in this position.
Responsibilities
+ Collect samples from all incoming raw materials and report findings to the Quality Manager.
+ Perform all batching and finished goods quality testing as required throughout the day.
+ Verify all products meet company and customer requirements/specifications.
+ Verify the accuracy of labels for all finished products.
+ Ensure tolerances are held by performing visual and dimensional inspection of finished products.
+ Maintain timely and accurate documentation and checklists for all inspections.
+ Determine the appropriate number of products to inspect according to statistical sampling plans.
+ Visually inspect fine features and measure small tolerance features using standard inspection tools.
+ Read and interpret drawings dimensioned in accordance with ANSI Y14.5.
+ Interpret and validate geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
+ Use ISO limits and fit tolerances for shaft and hole clearances.
+ Appropriately use measurement tools to facilitate inspections.
+ Report inspection findings, including non-conformances, according to an established process, which may include informing appropriate stakeholders.
+ Inspect electromechanical assemblies (cables, harnesses, assemblies) in accordance with IPC 620.
+ Coordinate and monitor the calibration status of test equipment and tools.
+ Monitor select production operations to ensure they meet quality standards.
+ Provide recommendations to the assembly or production process to improve quality.
+ Assist in production builds as needed.
+ Independently gather information from appropriate personnel to develop, organize, and generate technical work instructions for the assembly of electromechanical devices.
+ Work hands-on with other team members to fully understand the build process.
+ Capture clear photos of important assembly details to use in documentation.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Quality Control (QC) and ISO 9001 standards.
+ Experience with calipers, micrometers, blueprints, and schematics.
+ Background in quality related to electronics, cables, and machining.
+ Ability to perform assembly and functional testing to ensure product functionality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with visual and dimensional inspection using standard inspection tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
+ Familiarity with ANSI Y14.5 and GD&T.
+ Experience with IPC 620 standards for electromechanical assemblies.

Work Environment
This role operates in a large warehouse setting, which is currently expanding with a new production line. You will work on the production floor, moving through different stages of the assembly life cycle to perform testing and inspection.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00/hr.
