Job Title: Production Equipment Operator - $15-$17/HR
Job Description
We are seeking diligent candidates to operate our production equipment, which may include dryers, baggers, or standardizers. This role involves monitoring milk flow, managing production batches, and maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor the flow of milk from incoming tankers to the drying process.
+ Dump powder into batches and communicate with the production department about the batches and types of production.
+ Startup, run, and clean the standardizer machine.
+ Maintain proper quality of production and safety standards for specific products and customers.
+ Organize and clean work area and machines.
+ Assemble and disassemble pumps.
Essential Skills
+ General labor experience.
+ Mechanical aptitude.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Production experience, particularly with production line or food equipment.
+ Basic math skills.
+ Ability to lift 50lbs consistently throughout the shift.
+ Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of the shift.
+ High School Diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in the food or beverage industry is preferred.
+ Candidates should have a stable job tenure, with reasons for leaving past positions related to growth or better opportunities.

Work Environment
Our facilities include two plants, with the Lyndon plant not climate-controlled and potentially hot in the summer. The newer plant also experiences heat due to machinery operation. The environment is wet, and adherence to GMP is required. Employees wear smock suits, elbow-length gloves, boots, and hair nets at all times on the plant floor. Comfortable clothing under the uniform is recommended. The role requires flexibility across three shifts, with initial training on the first shift for six weeks. During busy seasons, additional workdays may be required, though not mandatory every weekend.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DETROIT, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00/hr.
