Job Details
A nursing home administrative assistant performs various duties, including clerical tasks like answering phones and managing files, supporting residents and staff with inquiries and paperwork, and assisting the administrator with complex projects such as budgeting, compliance, and coordinating facility operations. The role is confidential and requires strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
+ Front-office support:
+ Greet and direct residents, visitors, and staff.
+ Answer and direct phone calls.
+ Schedule appointments and meetings.
+ Administrative and clerical:
+ Type correspondence and prepare reports.
+ Maintain and organize confidential files (personnel, resident, etc.).
+ Process payroll information and manage timekeeping.
+ Order and maintain office supplies.
+ Staff and resident support:
+ Assist with the onboarding of new hires, including paperwork and policy orientation.
+ Handle resident and family inquiries and provide information.
+ Ensure resident and staff information is kept confidential.
+ Assist in other departments if needed.
+ Assisting the administrator:
+ Assist with monitoring department activities and compliance with regulations.
+ Support in managing maintenance and facility issues.
+ May take messages for the administrator
+ Manage the receptionist area
Required skills and qualifications
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent time management and organizational skills.
+ Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ High degree of accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
+ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
+ Problem-solving skills.
Education: Bachelors Degree preferred.
Salary Range
USD $22.06 - USD $39.06 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive , differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
