    South Bay Cardiovascular, St. Francis Hospital is located in the heart of West Islip, NY. This outpatient ambulatory cardiovascular practice is a fast paced environment with opportunity to grow! South Bay Cardiovascular is the perfect example where your inpatient clinical skills can be highlighted in an ambulatory setting

    Job Details

    Responsibilities

    + EKG interpretation and rhythm identification during stress testing

    + Triage patients in person and over the phone

    + Efficient IV Insertion Technique

    + Communicate with patients and their families regarding arrhythmias, medications, procedures.

    + Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses, APP’s and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.

    + Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

    Requirements

    + Applicants must be motivated to learn and be able to work alongside a strong team of RN’s, APP’s and ancillary staff who are passionate about cardiovascular nursing.

    + 1+ years of experience in preferred

    + Experience reading cardiac monitors and 12-lead EKGs

    + Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree

    + Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration

    + Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association

    + Schedule: M-F, Rotating Day and Evening shift, Saturday Rotation
