Job Summary
As the Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of complex technological solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
Job Description
We are looking for a **Solutions Architect** to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient technology architectures that support business goals. **This position will be full-time, a 6–12 month contract, and hybrid.**
What You’ll Do
+ Work across Application Development, Service Delivery, and Infrastructure to identify, research, discuss, design, and implement key architecture standards
+ Develop comprehensive technical architectures for enterprise systems, applications, and infrastructure
+ Create detailed architecture blueprints, select appropriate technologies and platforms, and ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices
+ Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential value to the organization
+ Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating organizational needs into technology architectures
What You'll Need
Required:
+ 3 years of experience making informed decisions under uncertainty, weighing multiple factors and constraints, and considering long-term implications of architectural choices
+ 3 years of experience with electronic data processing platforms and software
+ 3 years of experience with infrastructure components, platforms, development tools, middleware, and technology standards (both on-premises and cloud-based)
+ 3 years of experience collaborating effectively with project teams and stakeholders at all levels
+ 3 years of experience communicating effectively in writing and orally with various levels of personnel and explaining technical concepts clearly
+ 3 years of experience maintaining essential records and files
+ 3 years of experience learning how to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units
Preferred:
+ 3 years of experience in government or regulatory environments
+ 3 years of experience in identity and access management (IAM)
+ 3 years of experience with security architecture principles
+ 3 years of experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
+ 3 years of experience with virtualization technologies
+ 3 years of experience with middleware technologies
+ 3 years of experience with data integration and ETL processes
+ 3 years of experience with load balancing and high availability design
+ 3 years of experience with cloud architecture patterns and best practices
+ 3 years of experience with AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification, with multi-cloud experience being particularly valuable
+ 3 years of experience understanding CI/CD pipelines and modern software development lifecycle practices
Physical Demands
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$100 - $111 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
